From the New River State Park located off of NC Hwy 221 in Ashe County turn right onto NC Hwy 221 and just before you cross the New River Bridge turn left onto Chestnut Hill Rd and go 0.9 miles. Then turn right onto Bill Cooper Road go 0.5 miles and the property will be on the left.

Natural hardwoods are on the southeastern and western portions of the property. Planted white pines are on the remainder of the property.
Two main ridges that run parallel to the New River in at northwest / Southeasterly direction. Nice hollow in between the ridges. Land lays well and is not very steep.
