Pie on the Mountain - Restaurant Review

Tathel, Lisa, and I recently stopped for lunch at Pie on the Mountain in downtown Lansing, NC. Pie on the Mountain is located at the intersection of Highway 194 and Big Horse Creek Road on the main drag in Lansing.
We all had sandwiches on homemade bread that were very good. Although we were pleasantly full, we could not resist topping them off with a fresh homemade cookie for desert. Their menu includes a wide variety of pizza and salads, as well as sandwiches.
The restaurant specialized in locally sourced ingredients. Some of the suppliers are listed below.

Big Horse Creek Farm
Rose Mtn. Butcher Shop
Stick Boy Bread Company
AB Vannoy Hams
Parch Hollow MicroRoasters Coffee
High Country Greenhouses
Hanging Gardens Farm
I am planning on going back soon to try the pizza. Unfortunately, we arrived a little early in the day to get an apple tarts. We could smell them baking, but had to leave before they were out of the oven. There is a Mountain Heritage Trout stream right across the street from the restaurant which makes it even more important for me to return.
