Description:

151.5 ± acres in Burke County, NC off of Henderson Mill Road. The property is all wooded with some timber ready to cut. Access is by a 45 foot deeded right of way. There are numerous creeks on the property. There are a number of ATV trails maintained by the current hunt club. Two graveyards are located on the property. Property is in the Forestry Present Use Program.

 

Directions:

From Morganton take NC-181 north out of town. From the Oak Hill crossroads continue on NC-181 3.3 miles. Then turn right onto Henderson Mill Road. The access road will be on your left in 1.3 miles.

Timber:

Approximately 67 acres were harvested and replanted with white pine in 2005.  60 to 65 acres of timber  are large enough to harvest. The remaining acreage is in stream buffers or roadways. No current timber inventory is available for the property.

Topography:

Elevations range from 1240 to 1080. The northern part of the property lays well. There are steeper slopes on the remainder of the property, especially as you drop off ridges towards one of the creeks.
