Fall is here! The air outside has that nice low humidity crisp feel to it and the leaves are changing color. Another way we can tell fall is here at the office is by the increase in folks calling, emailing, and stopping by the office looking to buy land. These potential buyers have been holed up for the summer months in the air conditioning looking at properties on the internet. They are now ready to hit the woods and farms. Building an ATV Bridge

Chris Blanton, RF recently completed an ATV bridge project for a client just in time for deer hunting season. Materials Needed: Bridge beams – Treated 2x10’s laminated with treated plywood: Beams set across creek resting on 6x6 treated sills: Beams cross braced to increase the stiffness of the bridge: Bridge decked with treated 2x6 boards: Side rails installed for safety: Completed Bridge: This bridge has a 20 foot span and was designed by an engineer for a 3,500 pound load with a 50 percent safety factor.
