Using Your Personal GPS To Find Our Listings Global Positioning Systems (GPS) have become more advanced and affordable in recent years. This has lead to a rise in the amount of people we see with their own GPS receivers. In response to this Casey & Company Realty, LLC has decided to include the location, in Latitude and Longitude, of our listings. This will allow you to use your personal GPS to drive directly to the property. We will include the Latitude and Longitude in our location map. Most personal GPS receivers will accept Latitude and Longitude coordinates in one of two formats. The first format is Decimal Degrees which will be abbreviated on the map DD.D and will be shown as two numbers. The numbers will have two digits followed by a decimal point and then three to six numbers following it. Your GPS system may require a cardinal direction for both of these numbers. In that case the first number will be West, the second number will always be North for our listings. The second format used by some GPS receivers is Degrees Minutes Seconds which is abbreviated DMS on our maps. Again if your GPS unit requires cardinal directions the first number will be West while the second is North for all of our listings. This format shows two numbers followed by the abbreviation for degree, then two numbers followed by an apostrophe followed by two more numbers. The last two numbers may be followed by a decimal point and possibly an additional three more numbers. The numbers included after the decimal point may or may not be entered into your GPS unit. Once you have entered our Latitude and Longitude into your GPS unit you should be able to easily navigate to any of our listings. Due to topography, atmospheric conditions, and differences in models and options of personal GPS units, our coordinates should be used as an approximate location of the listing entrance. |
